Luxury Import Itasha

The SIS Tokyo Special Import Car Show kickstarted yesterday at the Tokyo Big Sight. This is Japan’s only motor show with its main focus aimed at import car tuning and dress-up. Besides showcasing many different import cars, there was a gathering of about 40 import itasha cars. But it’s not just any normal itasha, oh noo, it’s itasha of luxury cars. That’s right, the highest pinnacle of itasha, the car the otaku yearn for etc.

BMW, Audi, Chevrolet, Alfa Romeo, Camaro were among the cars adorned with popular characters such as Hatsune Miku, Strike Witches and the Lucky Star gang.

Would you drive one?

As awesome as these are, I wouldn’t want one. Stands out too much and will probably bring lots of unnecessary attention.

  1. Very nice itasha cars. I think Miku would look really nice on a metallic gray Mini w/ black roof. But that’s a great find. :)
